Yardstick Interiors was established in 1946 as a small textile firm in the heart of Georgetown. Initially a textile firm, the company added custom window treatments and upholstery to its offerings. Under the leadership of Ron Corbeille, Yardstick went on to become one of the most exclusive custom window treatment and upholstery firms in the DC Metropolitan area. The company expanded from a primarily residential cleintele to now include commercial, trade and GSA accounts.  High quality products and unmatched service made the company the premier drapery and upholstery firm in the region.

In 1984, Steve Corbeille joined the firm.  Less than a year later, he took control of the company as Ron Corbeille's health declined.  In the past 37 years, Steve's untiring work ethic and innovative and entrepreneurial spirit has made Yardstick Interiors into a full service interior design firm. Yardstick still retains the reputation as he best custom window treatment and upholstery shop in the area and continues to maintain its own custom workroom.

Over the years, Steve has developed long lasting relationships with top artisans, painters, wall covering and mill experts, electricians, tile installers, carpeting professionals, and more.  He has a dedicated staff ranging in service from 5 to 28 years.  With these long lasting relationships, Yardstick Interiors offers the best quality and service to its clients.  Although Yardstick manages all trades, clients are charged by trade professionals directly with no additional fees.

We offer our clients 20% to 30% of all of our trade discounts including fabrics, furniture, lighting, accesories, carpets, custom rugs, trims and hardware.
